As a Merchandising Intern for a Triple-A professional baseball organization, I worked with both the e-commerce and in-store sides of merchandise. A large part of my role involved using Shopify to process online orders, update product listings, and support promotions. I also helped with inventory, merchandise ordering, stock organization, team store displays, and day-to-day operations on gamedays.

This internship gave me the opportunity to experience a completely different side of retail and understand the role merchandise plays within the sports industry. I loved seeing how products could connect fans to a team and how much goes into creating that experience both online and inside the ballpark. Working in professional sports diversified my retail experience and pushed me outside of the fashion-focused environments I was more familiar with. It strengthened my attention to detail, organization, and persistence while giving me a broader understanding of how merchandising can look across different industries. Most importantly, I had so much fun being part of such a fast-paced environment and seeing retail from an entirely new perspective.
