Trend Forecasting & Ready-to-Wear Committee

During my freshman year, I was part of the Trend Forecasting Committee at TREND Magazine, a completely student-run fashion and lifestyle publication at Iowa State University. TREND offers many opportunities for fellow creatives, including editorial, fashion, photography, graphic design, and public relations. While a passion for fashion is welcomed, the magazine encourages creative exploration in many areas, such as ideating concepts, creating mood boards, and curating photoshoots to bring your vision to life.

In the Trend Forecasting Committee, I collaborated with my team to style outfits, develop and maintain the trend concept, choose photoshoot locations, and plan poses. The photos on the previous slide highlight some of our work. I loved being part of this committee because it allowed me to explore creative expression, embrace individuality, and contribute to innovative ideas within fashion.

Currently, I am a member of the Ready-to-Wear Committee, where we are preparing for our upcoming photoshoot in January. I’m super excited for Issue 37 and can’t wait to see all our creative efforts come to life.
